Everyone is talking about Clubhouse right now
The new kid on the block – Clubhouse is an exclusive invitation-only social networking app – is a combination of conference calls, talkback radio and Houseparty (hugely popular in Australia’s first lockdown!) think of it as an audio-chat social network.

What exactly is it?
Users can listen to conversations, interviews and discussions between interesting people on various topics – it is like taking part in a Live Podcast with an added layer of exclusivity. There are no images or video – just audio. The app offers a page full of conversational topics to follow, from sports to tech to world affairs, and so on.
How is it exclusive?
You need an invitation from an existing Clubhouse user to get access. Every new user gets two invites, and they earn more as they continue to use the app.
Why should you care?
A heap of fascinating characters and famous people are starting to use the platform to interact with their audience without editing, transitions, and advertising. Last month, its popularity skyrocketed when Elon Musk hosted an audio-chat on Clubhouse with Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev. The event eventually maxed out the app conversation room limits and was live-streamed to YouTube.
How could you or your business use Clubhouse?
The exciting new app presents a powerful unique marketing opportunity for your business with a chance to connect with others in your industry and network directly with business leaders and experts from any part of the globe. If you’re looking to become a thought leader – you can create your own chat rooms around your areas of expertise.
If you’re using the app we’d love to hear your thoughts!
