What are the skills, knowledge or tricks you’ve picked up from working with the OITC team ( if any)?
I have definitely gained a lot of knowledge about how a tech business operates. Having the opportunity to understand and experience how different people within can produce content is super interesting. I have also picked up and refined various editing skills with Adobe software; the creative team has really supported teaching me new skills and ticks in different programs.
What have you learnt about business and the digital/tech industry now you’ve been part of it?
I have learnt the tech industry is fast-paced, and turn around on projects is very quick. Businesses need to constantly create content to satisfy consumers but also meeting client needs.
Do you have an idea of where you would like your career to take?
I am still undecided on exactly what I want to do but potentially something within the film industry or marketing, or maybe both…
Who’s career are you following on social media?
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is an American politician who is one of the youngest women to hold a seat in the U.S. Congress. I admire her selflessness and proactiveness to bring social justice and change within America.
What’s the best thing that happened while working with OITC?
Meeting people who work in the industry and the chance to learn from highly skilled and talented people.
Who’s your favourite OITC employee (don’t worry, we won’t tell )
Arnold and his space station…
What’s your advice for future intern candidates?
Be open-minded and ready to try anything that your supervisor might ask you to complete, even if you think you might be really bad at it because you never know where it could lead.
